Ken A, solid choice. I would pay to fish with him also.

My dad so he could show me how he caught all those trout when he lived in Montana for a few years.

I've fished with the best anglers I've ever met for free. Why pay?

I wouldn't say I'm one of the best, but thanks for the kind words.

jeff kriet would be a hoot to fish with and learn from. actually got to fish against him on murray at one of our club tournaments (he was warming up for a b.a.s.s. event). day before in pre fishing he nailed a 12.1 which on murray I think was a lake record then finished out of the money the next day. what made it cool was he stuck around and talked to a lot of the members, gave some good tips on murray and a couple of other lakes that can be tough.
his personality and attitude was great and didn't act like anyone special at all, yes I would like to fish with him.

Look him up and send him an email, if he is around and has the time he will likely go with you. He is just that kind of guy. He is truly a class act and a lot of fun.

I was lucky enough to be selected one of the inaugural boat officials for MLF in 2019 and continued with them through the 2021 season. It was an awesome experience even though we couldn't fish with them. We got a first hand look at their personalities and integrity. I tried to make it worth my time by filling out a diary each night of the angler, weather, wind, where he fished and what techniques he used and lbs caught by each technique plus I rated each angler on safety, boat handling, personality and integrity. I had the "pleasure" of officiating for 44 of the 88 or so anglers that have participated in MLF. There were a few that I didn't care to be matched with again, a few that were ok to be with and then the bulk of them that made the day entertaining, educational/instructional and an awesome time. Some I would absolutely get in a boat with again even if I had to pay for the entertainment would be Wesley Strader, Gerald Swindle, Kevin VanDam, Skeet Reese, Gary Klien, Stephen Browning, Bobby Lane, Cody Meyer, Andy Morgan, Michael Neal, Randall Tharp, Greg Vinson and of course Aaron Martens. It was an awesome experience for three years and my ability to catch bass grew exponentially over those three years. I know a lot of you don't care for MLF but they were good to me and gave me an awesome opportunity to ride and learn from some great personalities and fishermen.
