I’ve yet to ever hire a guide; however, I have attempted by trying to book a trip on Fork to learn the flutter spoon. We never could get on the same schedule (availability) for this particular bite under specific conditions…

Well I don't own a boat and probably never will so learning the electronics or lake fishing techniques isn't of interest to me. But I second hops idea of fishing with Jeff Kreit. I've met him a couple of times and I'd bet he'd be just a hoot to fun fish with for a day. And Hackney would be on my list for the same reasons.

I wouldn't pay anyone, but I can sure think of a couple friends I'd do about anything just to have them in the boat one more time.

So with all the big graphs and thousand of dollars in fishing equipment and $80,000.00 bassboat you guys can't figure out how to go out and catch a few big bass. But you would pay this guy 2000.00 to pick his brain

+1... I grew up watching Bill, met him a few times, he is like a member of the family... Met him a "few" times and he's like a member of the family? That's weird. I've met some people hundreds or thousands of times and I wouldn't consider them "family".

I've met some people hundreds or thousands of times and I wouldn't consider them "family". Not weird at all, I started watching Bill Dance when I was a boy back in the early 70’s, in the early 80’s we got a VHS recorder/player and I started taping his shows and would watch them over and over, everyone in my family including the old woman who didn’t care about fishing knew who Bill Dance was from me...when I got married in 1992 while honey mooning at the 92 Bassmasters Classic was the first time I got to meet Bill...would meet him a few more times over the years...so to wrap it up, to say he is like family means he was in my house every weekend as a child, then all the time on VHS, his voice and face is as familiar as a family member...he was my childhood hero...
