With the recent warming trend, Surface Water Temperatures have risen from 62 to 72 degrees, Light East Winds, and some sea fog, but not as bad as it has been over the last few days. Started on points and flats close to drains and managed to pick off a few Speckled Trout, but not the consistent action we were looking for. Loaded up and moved over to the East Side of the Bay System and on the way saw some birds working and caught a couple of Bull Reds and some smaller trout. Moved on over to a reef in 4’ of water and once we found the fish – it was on fire for a good 2 hours, till we had a fishing buddy call that was broke down and needed a tow back to the dock. After the tow we went back to the reefs and the bite had stopped. Found another school of oversize reds, but only had one taker that was 34â€. On the way back to the marina, went back into the marsh and managed 4 more solid keeper trout before we called it quits. Majority of the fish today were caught ¼ oz heads and DownSouth tails in Limetreuce. The days are getting shorter and the water is starting to get right, so hit me up for artificial teaching trips, as well as boat navigation trips on where to run and how to best put yourself in a position to catch fish consistently thru the winter months, when fishing pressure eases up and you can enjoy some of your greatest days on the water with family and friends.
