my husband and I fish in a paddle boat. For real. A lot of work, but we get exercise. We can get in some really tight shallows and brush that the big boys cant. It's really been fun

If it is really hot, I like to jump out of my little paddle boat and just pull us around. Just gotta watch the snakes. My husband jokes that he uses alternative fuel. He gets so many miles to a 6 pack. lol

My boat--a 12 foot Heritage Redfish kayak. I also have a second boat--a 10-foot Heritage Redfish kayak...and I'm looking at a 3rd boat--a pink Susan G. Komen breast cancer kayak by Malibu. Heard they came out with these and decided it was worth looking into adding these kayaks to the lineup of kayaks I sell. I know it's not really a "boat" but my kayaks get me out on the water...and on fish! Any my favorite lake is Belton Lake as far as lakes go...but I prefer the rivers--Blanco, Guadalupe (TROUT!), etc.

I fish Belton too and see more and more kayaks on the water each year.

Yep....kayaks on Belton. I can still dump my kayak into the lake and fish even with all the boat ramp closings! Actually not 100% sure that's legal right now so if any law enforcement members are reading this...ignore that last statement! Plus I don't have to buy gas for my boat. It runs on pure muscle power! I finally figured out this picture thing so here are some pictures of our "boats": A view downriver of my boat (and fly rod):

We typically fish Granger, but I know my husband is looking into Georgetown and Lake Travis.

HotK,
I am not sure I can handle a kayak. How hard is it to learn?

Everyone that has gone out kayaking with me has picked it up pretty quick. I'm not a great instructor so I like to think it's a pretty easy sport to learn. I try to stick to areas that are pretty calm and low-key, so really as long as you can paddle, you should be able to pick it up pretty easily. Now, have you ever seen those guys in the whitewater kayaks that do rolls and can stand their kayaks up on the ends and spin around? That might be a little harder to learn. I've personally never done it but it looks hard!
