Let me guess, it was a Dobyns?

Phew, good to know. Wouldn’t want the Dobyns crew on here getting defensive.

Any 3 power Dobyns, personally I use a DX743 most of the time, but the 3 power from the Champ or Fury line would do as fine as well.

The weightless worm rod is too “whippy”. Seems like whatever is on it is either too light to cast, or too heavy. A weightless senko is too heavy. I have three if I had it to do over again, I’d have not ordered a single one of that model. I would have ordered 10 lizard draggers.

Yep, use my weightless worm rod as a small spinnerbait or yellow magic 1/4oz or less.

I use a Dobyns 703, Kistler MH (almost too stiff) or a Falcon Cara 7’2” MH

600 plus on a rod is crazy. I’m leaning toward the lamiglass Bruce recommended. $350 is pushing my spending limit on a fishing pole.

Paired with Metaniums retail is close to $1100 a pop.

^^^ $350 would get you close to a Power Tackle “one” 03 7’3”. But, you would be ruined after that so you better stick to your plan!

I use a 683 or an SLX 6'10 medium for flukes. Senko is a different rod all together. I use a light wire only on the fluke. Senko I may step up the hook and power fish.

683 Dobyns Sierra for a wacky rigged senko type bait and a 684 Sierra for a Tx. rigged weightless Senko type bait or fluke.
