You would need a boat but Striper and sandbass are moving into the upper third of a lot of lakes now. Got into them the other day on a wind blown sand bar in 4-8 fow. They will stay there all winter focus on the top edge of the channel where they push up baitfish. The numbers should grow every week and often times the coldest day of the winter best for numbers and big fish when it comes to temperate bass. Good luck! ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/x14dyM3S/1-DBBD6-B0-E564-4-CD3-86-E5-4-A6-F458-BA133.jpg)

Beautiful fish, great photo! Glad to hear they are moving on up. Once the Texoma fish go deep, I'll be headed to your neck of the woods to join you and Kevin for some striper fishing 'Robert style'

Guess work blocks your pics on their computers. I was about to start a thread asking how to target the deeper striper on a flyrod. I assume sinking tip and slow strip back. I've never tried it, but would like to learn to catch them from the kayak.

If they're hanging in 4-8fow a floating line with longer leader would be effective. Try a unweighted deciever for easier casting or Clouser if you need to sink faster and deeper. I fish tandem a lot with the light fly trailing the Clouser tied to the bend.

I am kinda new to fishing, I would think these 'warm water' fish would stay deep -deep until the spawn. Teach me why they will 'stage' near the creek's mouth if that water is most likely colder, being more shallow and near where the cooler creek water is flowing from.
To me this doesnt make sense.
Thanks.
if it ain't chartreuse, it's got no use.
