I prayed for grass back in the 70's and 80's when I used to fish bass tournaments. Always heard that Canyon didn't have the nutrients and too deep to support grass beds. Looks like my prayers have now been answered, but I'm too old now to take advantage of it!  You people that like the grass need to make a lot of noise if you want to keep it! Those chemical companies probably contribute a lot of money to their favorite politicians.

Just got back from Canyon since not having been there since last year, and there is grass/hydrilla where I've not seen it before.
Also more baitfish than I've ever seen which I attribute to the protective cover they now have.
It should be a great fishing lake if they leave the aquatic plants alone!
It's really low, so we need a lot of rain!

This is one knucklehead that has a house he built off a creek that has been "choked out" temporarily bc of ideal grass growing conditions this year. Stuff has been in this creek for the last 3 years and he hasnt said a word, until his "pretty view" changed.

When the grass starts bothering the pleasure boaters, jet and water skiers, and of course the land owners. The grass will be gone, so enjoy it while you can

I viewed the photo's and yes there is a lot of grass but lets tap the brakes a little. Control rather than eradication, and there is plenty of lake for everyone!

Their cove is practically open water now, even with the levels dropping. So what do they do? Hop on jetskis and go find grass and take pics of it and post the INFESTATION of THEIR lake.
