I first met Mr. Whitlock at a Federation of Fly Fishers (yea, I'm old) conclave in Mountain Home. He was spending a few hours tying in the afternoon's demonstration session. He invited me to sit beside him as he explained some of his tying "tricks". I mentioned that I had been working on tying his famous hopper pattern and he responded by handing me several hopper bodies. (everything but the spun deer hair head)
Just checked to make sure I still have them. They have been moved from the tying box to a place where treasures are kept.
