I ventured out to Walter E Long/Decker without the boat.....WHOA baby!...I was surprised how low the water is. Seen it low before, but today was a surprise.
At first glance, I thought oh, no problem my new bay boat can handle shallows....not sure I will try it in October or in November....here are a few pictures taken about 45 minutes a part. Took the first when I arrived, the second when I saw someone come in and trailer their boat....enjoy!

One of our local guides trashed his prop launching his 21' Skeeter about 2 weeks ago.. A friend couldn't get his 19' Nitro off the trailer there yesterday.

Locally seems only decent option is Lake Austin or Granger, LBJ is what its called. I was out at Granger Sunday and it was smooth....PROP guy is really needed around here, I keep a snaggle tooth prop on my new boat due to the lovely conditions..since I'm using the trolling motor 97% of the time now, once water levels come up I'll put the new prop back on........watch out there!

Very low . Launching a boat there could be costly indeed. eeks

travis is fishing pretty good right now actually, but mansfield is just about the only place to launch if you dont have a pass somewhere.

I didn't lose him at the boat. I shook him off cause I didn't want my hands to get "fishy"
