Sometime in 2008, Maybe......Keep in mind that Lake Georgetown is still 34 feet above conservation pool.

Seriously, if we're lucky later part of August.

And they are only releasin 600 cfs out of georgetown as of this morning. 1644 cfs from granger. At these rates sharecropper is right. It will probably be late August.

Keep on fishing.

Well gentlemen it looks like Granger is on the rise again this morning. We will be placing bets for an October 1st opening date. Any takers?

Just talked to a friend that lives about 5 miles south of the lake. They received 4.5". We got 3.4" in Thrall. Thought about going down to Somerville this weekend but won't be able to get the boat out of my yard.

In Thorndale we have had 4.5 by my gauge and it is still raining. Gonna go look at lake here in a while see if it is on the rise again.

Well they have turned off the water. They are still letting water out of georgetown. And they have blocked off the spillway. Although water isnt over road just yet think it will be by morning

How about Stillhouse. It is 41 feet high right now and the gates are closed. Stillhouse has been at least 20 feet high since mid-may.

Yeah I was over there this afternoon after the rain had quit - the runoff was really rolling. Wasn't going to be much before going over the road there at the spillway.

I went to the spillway yesterday afternoon before the dam was closed. But when I quit fishing around 7pm, I had to take 971 to come back to Austin instead of 1331. The gate is still closed as of now and the lake level rose another foot since yesterday.
I did not know that the area east of Austin got so much rain because my area did not get a lot. So I was wondering "why did they close the gate?". So it looks like we're going to wait much longer for the lake to go down to normal level.

They close it because of flooding downstream, Granger is a flood control lake.
