About to pull the trigger on a new Ulterra.

I see several options for a quick release bracket, all manufactured (or at least labeled) Minn Kota. Is there a better option?

I bought one when I bought my Ulterra. I never used it. I wound up taking it off and put on a Shuttle Slide bracket so I could keep it from sticking out so far when launching.

Thanks, that looks sturdy! I found the website but I don't see much about the quick release.

I'm mounting it on a pontoon that I keep in a slip and I'm more interested in the quick release feature than the slide feature.

Can you tell me how easy it is to quick release the Shuttle Slide?

Diggerwolf, our mounts have a quick release on the back - simply remove the back thumb screws and the trolling motor will slide off the mount, horizontally into the boat. Most quick release systems have you lift the trolling motor, ours allows you to slide it off the back without removing the mount off the deck.
