Caught lots of them on Fork. Largest was probably 8 pounds. I caught a monster on TB many years ago. If you get one on a spinnerbait, just throw it away. Its toast.

most of them i've caught while flipping but earlier this year i caught one on a buzzbait on Rayburn...don't really care for them due to the teeth.

I've caught many of them on Pines. They are hard on your spinner baits.

When my dad was a young man he caught one crappie fishing out of the Boeuf River near Hebert, Louisiana. It was about 3 to 4 pounds he said and he tried to lip land it. Almost cost him a thumb. Tore most of the hide off it and then it got infected.
I caught one fishing with yoyo's in Caney Lake in Louisiana back in the 90's that was probably over 10 pounds. It had swallowed about a 10 to 12 inch inch long LMB that looked as if it was already on the yoyo. I gave it to friend of mine and they ate it.

I have caught several on Sandlin and on Fork. Buddy of mine caught about a 7 or 8 pounder on Monticello several years ago in the lily pads up north.

Prehistoric dinosaur fish. They fight really hard….and will destroy a spinnerbait!

got one about 5# on fork behind some docks, like others I thought I had the winner comin in for the big bass I was fishing.
got mine on a lipless and had to toss it since it was all scratched up and even had a couple of holes in it.

At Fork caught 3 big ones this year on 3 different lures and all were over 10 pounds. Caught one in Maryland 25 years ago and a really big one at the Stik Marsh in Florida 35 years ago.

I have seen them in the river below the dam at Lake Palestine but I have never caught one.
