Haven't been to Academy in a while. I noticed that the entire H2O crankbait rack was empty. Anyone know what is going on? I really liked those baits. I wonder if they are going to come back with a new line of baits that are twice as expensive.

Everything H2O has been in short supply for some time now. Waiting on a slow boat I'm sure

They clearanced out (all) H20 baits and rods at the Academy I shop at and they are selling down other baits (fresh and saltwater) and they are not reordering. The employee didn't say why they were doing this and I didn't push the issue.

They are putting new H20 stuff out at some stores. The logo has been updated.

are the h20 reels quality? From what I've seen online, they are like a KO off another brand reel. They're not bad, but they have the cheaper versions of internals. Supposedly, you can upgrade the bearings and handle and they make out to be a good a reel on a budget.

I was in the Flower Mound Academy last night. It's not just the H2O brand. They are running low or are completely out of most fishing baits. I noticed they were low on in-line spinners and Super Dupers with the Texas stocked trout season coming up. They just don't know how to stock a store. They seem to restock the fishing section only twice a year.

I was told they are getting rid of H20 and getting a new line of baits. I looked online and at numerous stores for some I like and they are all gone in the DFW area. From my experiencd Academy always pares way down after Labor Day and stocks up late in the year or early in the spring.

The crankbaits are good, just as easy to shake out of a basses mouth as the more expensive ones.
