not sure if I got it but they need a more manly name for it.

I have been on a heavy lift program for the last three weeks and the inside of my elbow on my left arm is killing me. If I touch the area it really hurts bad and certain movements hurt like a real -itch.

Anything you guys recommend to treat or to prevent it from hurting? I've heard that 30mg THC/30mg CBD Salve ( wink ) helps but what else do you guys have?

Cortisone shot will help. DMSO will also help with an ICE compression sleeve, such as freeze sleeve

Lots of advil, my left elbow has been having pretty regular flare ups the last year. Having one currently. I have started taking advil about 2 hours before exercise as preventative.

I thought tennis elbow was the tendon on the outside of the elbow?

If it is a tendon problem, a strain or minor tearing can heal itself if you rest. Cortisone shots will mask it, but not necessarily give it a chance to heal.

Try taking a week off upper body lifting and focus on your legs and core. Ice your elbow for 10 minutes 6-8 times a day. See how you feel after that.

Also, get yourself a TENS machine. That is the first thing they will hook you up to if you ever go to physical therapy. Here is one from Amazon.

I have it from time to time, the last time was from swinging a machete clearing a new path into a bow stand. I use a Tennis Elbow Brace With Compression Pad placing the pad bout 2 o'clock towards the elbow. Almost instant relief, but like others said, ICE and take a break from you lifting.

I'm 57 yo but I treat my body like it's 20 when I'm in the gym. I love it when I can out lift these young fit guys. Only problem is I pay for it in aches and pains.

You might look at the Theraband Flexbar. I have used it with success and lent it to a few people who said it helped.

This is where it hurts.

I'll give the ice a try with the Advil that WAWI suggested. I have a TENS unit for my back and never even thought about trying that. Thanks.

Rest? I'll rest when I'm dead.

I guess it's more Golfer's elbow (after Google searches). At least that is a little more manly.

Rest, ice packs, ibuprofen, diclofenac sodium gel, rest and more rest. I got it from sidearm casting heavy top waters several consecutive days...it was worth it.
