I'll be doing my own from now on. My last experience, they just replaced parts until they got it fixed. I can do that with out the labor charge.

I had my lowrance ghost fixed over the summer and the guy did the same thing. The tech was actually really cool and found out it's not the tech that's the problem. In the case of Lowrance, they don't have a service manual or published diagnostic procedures like you do in the auto world. They play swaptronics until they get the right part replaced. They do have some training on how it all works and in the case of Lowrance there is a number the tech can call when they get stuck.

A workable system but not as refined as other industries.

Sartain Marine up by lake Fork is the best I've dealt with. He saved me a ton of Money on my last repair and had me out quick. Dropped it off on Saturday and picked it up on Tuesday.
