Tom Maynes Tawakoni chip is well worth the cost. I knew Tawakoni pretty well and his runs matched up with almost all of mine plus he said some runs that I didn't know about. Money well spent for me.

I'm getting one for sure. We'd all feel better if you did... And those are not trees, they are petrified dinosaurs

Welcome to Texas! Tawakoni and Palestine are two that used to be a pucker factor of 10 for me, took lots of time on the water to get comfortable running. I have been on Palestine more times than I can remember and I am never comfortable running it. I did $9K worth of damage to boat while fishing, not running I have been on Tawakoni since like 5 years around 1974, so I am more comfortable with it.

I see boats run through the middle of the trees on Tawakoni all the time. I always listen for the crunch... that would be my signal to go help. Research a lake before you go running it. navionics has a free web app that has timber marked. there has also been a few posts on TFF through the years with maps marked up on where trees are located. the search feature can help.

Why is there no kind of warnings out there?! I was going in wide open lake n ahead of me huge trees! Not in the maps or any warning on the lake.😩😩😩. Thank God I didn't hit anything but that lake is gonna kill someone. I’m guessing from your post that you will be voting for Biden again correct? Sorry! JK……sort of!

It kind of "ripped" the hull a little I did something similar @ the John's Creek boat ramp on Cooper severaal years ago. Backed over a T-post that was just barely under the water and took a chunk out of my hull. at the transom. Insurance fixed it.

Be careful at the 2 mile bridge ramp. Directly behind the ramp near the bridge is a lot of concrete not far under the water. I've avoided it, but have seen more than a couple props fubared due to it and some nasty sounding fiberglass scrapes.
