Last year the fridge was going out so the B&C wanted a SS new fridge. I bought it and knew that it was only the start of my woes because she would want all the appliances to match (old ones are white). This weekend she got a new SS dishwasher and range/vent hood. Then she started about the oven and microwave needing to be replaced and I said "No" because they work fine. She started saying that they were over 20 years old and needed to be replaced so I reminded her that we have been married over 37 years and I may want a newer model as well.  Since I was already in trouble, I decided to act like I was getting electrocuted while having my arm way up under the dishwasher while trying to plug it in. Boy, she can cuss like a sailor.

my wife did the exact same thing with our first washer and dryer --- they were base Maytag models and ran perfectly --- not a single problem " their old , ugly , don't fit the house now " !!!
Bought a new high end pair of Maytag's ( after they were purchased by Whirlpool ) --- 100% junk -- lasted 6 years and that was after a bunch of repairs

Been there done that and it didn't stop there. New picture on the living room wall meant new sofa, tables etc ..for that room. Same for bedroom and bathrooms..I did nip this this in the bud...

Lol. We have a new oven delivering Thursday. I can’t wait to install it. I will need a little help from my spousal unit to lift it into the opening, it’s going to be much fun

Yep, no pigtail on the new dishwasher (I salvaged the old one) and I had to convert the water line to GH instead of 3/8" Compression.
