I don't think I would use it...to me that's a classic and would be a wall hanger.

Seeing the line guides would help but it looks like a "Fly Rod" perhaps (?)

Looks like a spinning rod.
Some people go to church and think about fishing. Some go fishing and think about God.

I've got a Fenwick rod I built in the early 70's I'm gonna bring back into service. I also have an old Eagle Claw rod in an aluminum carrying case from the 1950's. I'd use it but it's too light action.
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

I collect and fish with vintage rod and reels. I have several of those rods, and fish with them all. Now go to Fleabay, and find a Wright and McGill to go with it, and have fun.

Saw the pic of that Mitchell 300 and could smell that green grease under the hood.

Pay attention to your eyes if you use it. The epoxy and thread windings will get brittle over time and start to crack. Mark me among the would not use it crowd. It appears to be in great shape, and would look great on a wall display.
