Truth. $16000 vs 10,000. That's 6 bills for an HD badge. I don't regret the Himalayan. Love riding it.

Yea--some of that fuzzy math.
Triumph Speed Twin 900 $9,695.00 in black (other colors $9,995).
Harley Iron 883 $11,249.00 (all colors).

I've looked at the 883, but I think it's gone in 2023. The speed twin is a 2023 bike with a sub 10 price.

The new Sportster S is $15,499. $15,999 if you want a color that is not black.

I’ve lost track of what is out there since the demise of the sport bike, but a friend of mine bought an Indian Scout a year ago and really likes it. Seems to be well built and has a nice look. Just another possibility.

That 900 triumph will run circles around a comparable sportster. I had an 883 and it is slow, heavy and handles like an anvil strapped to a rollerskate. Now do not get me wrong, I liked it but unless you want in with the Harley crowd (and some of those guys discount sportsters as girl bikes, I know) Triumph is your bike. Lighter, faster, better handling. Again, not knocking Harley. They make a WAY better bike than my first Harley back in the 80s which fell apart being ridden my a kid in his teens and early 20s.

Why yes, the seat is there, plenty big and air adjustable height.

naw, the triumph isn't gonna run circles around the nightster (formerly the 883) and the indian FTR will put them both to shame for the same weight class bike. the triumph will have the best fuel mileage though and the 900 also has the front brembo brake along with that retro 650 tiger look

im not pulling for the harley, i wouldn't want it. harley has designed the new revo engine in as a structural member of the frame. i don't like that idea. i like the triumph, had the 650 tiger in the past but my choice would be the ftr
