I finally upgraded to 2 networkable helix units, and I also have i-Pilot link on my Ultrex. I want to still use follow contour, so I know lakemaster is necessary by the Ultrex. On the other hand, I like the look of navionics much better while I’m driving.

If I network these different Helix’s together can I still share waypoints while on the water? I’m not sure if anyone else has done this?

Helix units will share waypoints, sonar functions, and Ethernet accessories.
They will NOT share mapping so it makes no difference what mapping or no mapping is in the other unit.
Follow-the-Contour is only available with HD mapping by Lakemaster, Auto Chart, or Auto Chart Live.

iPilot LINK is an Ethernet connection so with two displays that's three Ethernet connections, and requires the AS ETH 5PXG Ethernet Switch to network them.

Yea, I saw that I’ll need to fork over another $200+ for the network hub, but it should be worth it. Thank you, that’s great to hear that I can use the map chips like I wanted to!

I am considering getting the navionics map chip for one of my helix units. Now I only have a Lakemaster map in my bow unit and am using gthe Humminbird map in my console unit. I fish Joe Pool and there absolutely no comparison as to which one is better for JP, Navionics by a landslide! The web app is what I use now to look for spots and have to translate that to Lakemaster via Google Earth.

From what I understand, the way points are stored in the units and not as a part of the overlay maps, so they should display no matter which map you use. I can see waypoints from both units now so I'm pretty sure that it will work.

I agree, Navionics is just easier on the eyes and to me and my lakes, more detailed as well.
