I haven't been there this year but at only 2.4 down the ramps will all be open and you can probably see the stumps better. 2.4' shouldn't impact the fishing.

It's fishing like normal. 100% of the fish are in 1% of the lake. A lot more stumps in play now. Almost broke my FFS transducer off Saturday.

Fish are built like tanks, water color is amazing, bites are few and far in between. When youโre on the water it looks more like 4โ low than 2.5. If you fish north of Wolf island some of your boat lanes will spook you right now.

Is it still safe to run south of the island? Plan on going in a week or so and haven't been in a couple years.

Most of the creeks have warning poles where the timber starts. Well. Not quite. They didn't "clear" all the timber south of the island. It's just deeper under the surface. I always thought they had cleared it too until they dropped the lake 18 feet. Plenty of timber in that area. But unless the lake gers real low again, it's ok to run.

It was probably the best fishing I had on that lake for several years before then and ever since. Lots of fish on main lake points all summer.

I'm planning on going in next weekend. Are the weather changes negatively affecting the fish?

Not many bites to be had out there right now. Hard on a boat if you venture up the creeks. I wouldn't waste my time or gas money.
