Have only fished Texoma a few times over the years Going to camp at Lakeside for a few days next week. Would like any updates or tips. Has the lake finished turning over? Best places to net shad? Thank you

Catch shad and fish along the main river and feeder creek ledges. Fish are all over in 40-40’ of water.

Went on Thursday and spent whole day on lake and caught 1 gizzard in cast net. Was able to catch a few perch for bait. Fished from the rail road bridge down to washita point down to main lake on main river channel. Didn’t catch a single fish. Pretty discouraging.

I took my son out Thursday as well and fished that same area pretty much. Had some sandies and small stripers that came up schooling in a cove for about 20mins. Caught quite a few on slabs, but all small. Other than that, it was the Dead Sea for us. Threw the cast net a few times, mainly for entertainment for my son, caught nothing.

Some days I catch all the shad I need in 15 minutes, sometimes it's dang hard to catch any. The other day all I could catch were big gizzard shad.
