On Saturday the 15th the fishing was great! We had a few birds hovering and giving away the hybrids and striper. The stripers would splash and chase bait to the surface, however the big school of fish would show up on side imaging. We fished for those by letting the RSR slab go all the way too the bottom and reeling it back slowly. We Chased birds and fish for about 2 hours. The wind picked up so we stayed on the west side of the lake. We checked many areas for sand bass that were just empty. Made a run to the east side of the lake and battled the waves. This move paid off. We stayed in one spot catching sand bass for another hour or so. Ended the day with some big hybrids and about 60 sand bass! Fishing is getting better at Tawakoni!! ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/1tjbLntN/B98441-FA-930-C-47-F6-81-A7-5-C01-F59-D906-E.jpg)

Denny Crane posted about a 1" piece of rebar just off of the 2 mile bridge on 9/20/22 If your fishing around that bridge, it'd be worth taking a look at the post. Lots of good pictures to identify the spot.

There’s definitely some hazards close to the bridge across from the ramps at 2 mile. Also most of the stumps are showing up in the middle of the lake. There’s a stump on the northern most point at finger point. Fishing has been good and should get better with cooler weather. The top water action should be good under birds and the slab bite will get better. Fish are def getting active!
