I got a pleasant surprise when I got my tax bill. It went down $166 on an annual basis from last year. I have not looked at the details but have to assume it is tax rates. No change in my exemptions. I protested value last year and won but the decrease in value was effective for last year. Did anyone else see a decrease?

Haven't seen any property tax bills for any properties or business in Collin County yet, I am sure they are on the way soon

Huh. Your post prompted me to look. Denton County has our bill ready - exactly the same amount as last year.

Mine are probably going to go up as they always have in the past. It would sure be nice if Austin would come with a plan to help us property owners out.

Everyone bought that one, hook line and sinker...... Yep. For every dollar the Lottery gave to education, the Legislation took away a dollar and spent it somewhere else.

No tax bill yet from Tarrant (property) or Dallas County (schools). I won (settled) my protest this year. If it stays the same as last year, I'll be okay with it.

Mine stayed the same. I protest it every year, I guess they didn't want to see me this year.
