Is this a good way to rig a slip float crappie rig with a jig I'm starting out with a homemade bobber stop then a comal slip float that doesn't need a bead because the hole in the top yellow part is small enough followed by just a jighead and jig ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/10/full-105448-155338-16647590517231538386518213315649.jpg) and by the way I have it spooled with 8 lb test vicious mono

I rig mine exactly like that except I use a rubber bobber stop.

I do mine the same way other than I usually have a split shot 6 inches above my jig and use fishing line for a bobber stop. That is my favorite bobber style.

What kind of knot did you use for the jig? A loop knot in that scenario will only end in the jig getting stuck in the bottom of the cork since the weight it not heavy enough to pull it out.

I don't remember but either a Palomar knot or improved clinch knot.

I used a rubber band for a bobber stop and a bead and tiny dog ear stop between the float and jig head so I can get my float back if I have to break off. I also use as small of a float I can get away with,

Only issue I forsee is the eye of the jig sticking in the bottom tube of the float. This happens regardless of which knot you use. The diameter of the line tie might be small enough to get wedged in the tube upon casting. Your jig won't suspend below the float.
If so, flip the tubes top to bottom and just use a bead on top. Or if you need a splitshot anyway to balance the float you can just use that.
