I live in Burleson and am looking to explore other waters for Largemouth. I've fished primarily on Joe Pool and Pat Cleburne (when it was super low). Is Eagle Mountain or Grapevine a better LMB lake? I went to Grapevine (not to fish) in the summer and the lake lice were ridiculous. I'm hoping with these cooler temps they won't be as bad.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to fish Eagle Mountain for black bass. I live on and fish the lake often. We’ve had trips where we caught quite a few nice keepers but many other trips where we zeroed on keepers. It gets a lot of boat and fishing pressure in May-September. It is a good Lake for catfish and white bass.

Catching fish never gets old.
