Ive had 2 put in the last 2 homes we built

The 1st was a about 6 years ago and it was $750 stove, it would run you out of the home quick w the heat it put out

The 2nd was put in 2-3 years ago and its a $3500 stove, it will almost regulate itself w little effort

I think it has to do w the thickness of the metal on the more costly stove but both worked

We rarely run our central heat in the winter, ill use 1/2 cord of fire wood in the winter

Ornate cast iron stoves are more expensive than basic steel stoves.

Once to temp, the thermal mass of the cast stove radiates heat for hours.
