It's living up to the hype so far. Heard of several friends having 100+ fish days up to around 5 pounds.
That sounds like fun!

Lots of boats today. We were in line by 440am and we're about 15th in line. Never fished the lake before, me and my buddy found fish in a creek and duplicated the pattern in another. We suck, and only about 38bass, couple dozen drum, and about 8 catfish. 12-15ft fish in groups. If you catch a fish stop, the fish are in schools and staying in the area. Just my .02 cents. I got whooped by my fishing buddy. Blue flek worm did well pulling thru wood. LiveScope showing schools of bass and drum in the same areas. If you never have been on the lake, be careful as the standing timber is dangerous for boats going up the lake.
So many bites that didn't hook up. Like hunting at the zoo.

I didn't have 100 fish but I had plenty and best five around 24 and change. Fish are healthy looking and mean. Most of the 80-100 boats are up North end at the mouth of river. I personally can not fish that close to people my head would explode. I didn't see but maybe 7 boats where I was at. 99 degrees down South, 90 midlake to North end. The quality of fish has jump up to all 3.5-4.5 lbs ers. Fun none the less

We spoke to the gentlemen that work at the entry point, where you pay, Sunday when were leaving. On Saturday there were 150 reservations and 116 of those showed up. About 20 showed up later without reservations, since the 150 had not all shown up, they let them in as well. So the total on Saturday was in the 135 range, not 81
