Hitting Whitney Friday-Sun. Anyone having luck out there? Hoping the cooler weather gets them fired up.

Went there Weds September 28 and two weeks ago. Water temp 87. Fish were stacked up and suspended all over the lake, easy to find. Not biting even on live perch. It can be good. Water level is really low but ramps open. No catches.

Fished Saturday and Sunday. Water temp was 77 and the lake is turning over. Fishing was tough but saw guides catching consistently on live shad in the mid to northern part of the lake. We got into some topwater action around sunrise and were able to pick off a fish here and there on slabs but it was definitely difficult this weekend.

went out Friday. perfect weather, cool and light wind.
found them in the upper part of the lake, north of the bridge
Sidescan is invaluable

2d sonar didn't pick this school up. Sidescan showed that they were only 50ft away

once on top of them, 2d sonar came alive and it was game on

thumper kept them active and around for about 20 minutes, then they vanished
caught 18 stripers (kept 2 for dinner)
