The lake can handle a ton of boats so that part should not be a problem. Lodging could end up being an issue for those that wait to book.

I got offered some "expense money" to captain on Ray Hubbard back when I won a lot there, I respectfully denied. I have helped several teams and captains during the time allowed for them to get help. I actually just had a convo this past week and gave some current info to a team's captain.

Too much liability for me to have some non family kids on the water, too many things can go wrong and litigation is the first response by too many.

Been tournament fishing for over 30 years. Seen it all. Fished a club event earlier this year that was packed with High School anglers fishing a tournament. Just got through being Boat Captain for my grandson this past weekend on Bob Sandlin and during both events I was apprehensive about what I was going to run into during the time on the water. All I can say is that I have seen nothing but great dealings with the anglers and the boat captains and especially under crowded conditions everyone has been courteous and friendly. There's always going to be issues in any sport or activity but making a statement like "I'm sure most of the HS will be following someone around or jumping in on people when they see a rod bent I'm sure" is an idiotic statement from someone that definitely doesn't know what they are talking about.
Just my 2 cents.

I think these HS bashing threads are hilarious. I've been a captain for 2 HS so far. Both teach the same thing about fishing, RESPECT. Respect the sport, respect fellow anglers, and respect the fishery. I've only seen one incident where I would was tempted to call them out to the Tourney Director. When I heard they blanked, I left it alone and explained to my students what happened. All other times, I give what I feel is the right of way. Stay away from others, and do my best to leave an area where others are close without disturbing the waters.

I may be the exception who knows. But I know that what I'm showing / teaching these anglers is what I like experience on the water. RESPECT.

So if they'd finished higher up in the standings you would've called them out?

I fished the Toyotas, and I will take a crowded Texoma and Sam Rayburn anyday over a lake Darnelle.
