Typically MLF releases the Toyota series schedule the last day or so of ICAST. BASS seems to be right behind that. Now that BASS has changed the opens and qualifying for the elites it seems that the two organizations are playing chicken with the schedule releases. I have asked the tourney directors on multiple occasions when the schedule will come out. The response is the same. “ we are still working on it.” Meanwhile the anglers are the ones who wait until then to plan their year and schedule. Just frustrating that the two organizations or doing more harm then good for the tourney angler. They keep selling the “Dream” of a professional angler.

Don't they wait until all the tournaments are done to release next years schedule?

Anyone who has done the math knows that is not a dream, it's a financial nightmare.

MLF said all their schedules will be released next week per the press release about TWPC changing to Invitationals.

Video is about the "Pro" circuit. OP was asking about Toyota series.

It’s become a S show for everyone trying to qualify for the next series and like said before…it’s NOT a financial gain in any way

Only one way to fix it and unfortunately for the “tournament angler”, the “tournament angler” isn’t willing to take that step. Even if they take that step, there’s another angler waiting in line behind them. Until a mass number of guys are fed up with the system, the system will continue to win. These organizations don’t care about individual guys, it takes every angler being fed up and willing to quit, to make a difference.

Angler strike, so to speak and that will never happen.

scheduling tournaments has got to be a nightmare for either BASS or MLF....keep in mind in most instances, you are dealing with state agencies in obtaining permits and we all know how any govt. agency works at a snails pace then if you want any kind of appearance money, you are dealing not only with a committee but other events the city may have scheduled....another consideration is that you have make sure no other event is being held so that motel rooms are available for you staff and for the marshals and contestants who don't have campers of some sort....
easy to come on here and be critical but again, there's a lot more to scheduling than marking a date on a calender...

The whole industry needs a strike.
