Sounds like someone who didn’t get “disciplined” enough by his father to me.

You haven’t seen the My Slippers? They’re so comfortable you want to wear them everywhere.

Mom would not allow hats or outdoor shoes to be worn inside the house; and I’m enforcing the tradition.
My wife gets embarrassed when I make sure our friends, neighbors, and children remove their shoes before entering our home.
