All I'm saying is that these EV's are starting to look more and more childish every release. Before you know it, we'll be driving around the Jetson's space cars.

As they should. A lot of what we expect in the "looks" of a vehicle are features that are necessary to operate the gas engine. An electric motor doesn't require a radiator, thus no grill. Why would you leave an open cage at the front of the car to disrupt air flow and allow entrance of dust and water into the interior?

The looks of cars have evolved over 100 years as a measure of both style and function. Electric vehicles are still in their first evolution of that. If they survive and continue, I suspect the EV 10 years from now will look nothing like a gas car today.

Electric vehicles are a cool technology and in many ways are far superior to gassers. "Zero emissions" is total BS, but the cars are pretty neat. At this point, I am pretty sure they are a novelty and will never take a foothold in the market outside of large urban areas.

Take Fords first truck, the F150 Lightning. The way you tell it is and EV is the badging and little else.
They are currently working on a new truck. My guess is they are doing a ground up design.

I’m more of a fan of what dodge is doing. For every vehicle ford and Chevy make that’s electric, they drop a hellcat in something. EV trucks are for people that don’t really need a truck in my opinion. I’d hazard to say most people who have an EV have another vehicle that is a gasser.

You can still keep cool and exciting looks to a car and not make it look like some 2nd grader drew it on a napkin sitting in a Denny's booth eating chocolate chip smiley pancakes.

I think EV has a place...but they need to look good as well.

EV trucks are going to have to come a long ways with battery power before I’d consider one. From watching a few videos it appears that I couldn’t make it to lake Ivie and back on a single charge and the lake is only 55 miles away. Oh and there’s ZERO charging stations between here and there.

It's a Chevy. The batteries will probably last longer than the rest of the truck.

For sure.

Eventually you'll need a permit to drive a vehicle with an internal combustion engine

It happens. I remember the first couple years of the Ford 6.0 diesel. They had to lift the cab to do a valve adjustment.
