Starting the process of house hunting in Mansfield.

Remember a couple folks on here who are mortgage folks, or at least brokers, but looking to start the process of getting information/rates/everything except credit check at this point.
Not looking to have multiple credit checks on mine and my wife's reports.

Let's hear who you have, or who to steer clear of.

Thanks!

-Matt

Around 6.25% right now for 20% down and 720 FICO. I did see today where NewRez(Caliber Home Loans) came out with a 40yr mortgage today but I haven't seen the rates or guidelines.

My team at PrimeLending is offering some really competitive rates if you have good credit and a down payment.

Is that a 15 year fixed? 40 year seems crazy to me..

I wouldn't expect rates to come down much in the near future, they should stay elevated until we have some consistency from the Fed and more positive economic data.

Love to answer any questions for you. The feds are about to increase most likely the short term rates again by .75. But when they do that, we should see mortgage rates improve some. They typically price it in the market leading up to the announcement and then we see alittle bit of improvement. However, mortgage rates are where they were pre-covid. Still pretty good......I have worked with alot of TFFer's..... Let me know if I can answer any questions for you...

yeah, I guess I should rephrase it....looking for a local TFF/THF'r mortgage company or mortgage broker, or that who works for a larger company the great forums can recommend.

I'd rather have that than some big company just going to sell off immediately. A more personal scenario.

Rockie is good people. I've used him personally. He'll take good care of you.

I'd expect rates in the low/mid 6s now for 30 years.
