I bought my son and myself cabellas goretex guide series bibs and jackets in 2010, I was wearing my set at grande lake this year at the bass regionals. It rained on us nearly every day, some days all day long! I’ve been kinda thinking of buying some new rain gear as well as mine are old and starting to fray here and there. So I started asking people in hunks, sims, and bps suits if they were staying dry. I didn’t find anyone who said that their gear kept them dry. I can tell you that was an eye opener for me. I was only somewhat barely damp in the crotch area. I made the decision to keep my old gear and keep using it. I cannot speak to the newcabellas guide wear now that Johnny has taken over, but the old stuff is excellent.
