 Daughter's First Bass!

My daughter has caught lots of fish, but no bass until last Monday. She told me a few weeks ago that she's get her first one this summer, and darned if she didn't go and get a really nice one! I told her not to expect 'em all to be so big, but, if I know her, they'll just get bigger. She caught it on a minnow at Lake Athens, kissed it, and released it. She then ran up the hill to the house with the camera to show mom, squealing all the way!

My gosh thats a great first LMB !! And she kissed it too !!  And the snake all in one day !! Maydee her nickname should be Bindy !!  Good Job !!

LOL Yeah, she is great! She is afraid of nothing--loves snakes, spiders, insects, lizards, etc. Says she wants to be a biologist "like Jeff Corwin" someday.

That is awesome to hear !! I love it when young ones learn about wildlife before they become afraid of it !! Kudos to you my friend !! By the way, better Jeff Corwin than that idiot Brady Barr !!

just dont let her swim with the stingrays! nice fish to
PB largemouth- 7lb
PB buffalo- 9 lb
PB common carp-7.5 lb
PB channel cat-7 lb
pretty weak now but lots more to come hopefully

That is simply an awesome pic. Look at that smile. Kids really need to catch fish the first time or two they go..otherwise they want to get back to the XBox. My nephew just caught his first fish a couple of weeks ago (click here) and he's already begging to go back out. What a way to start a new hobby!!
