Hope we get about a month of this weather pattern. We have our first lake over there above capacity (FI Madero) is at 107% and flowing over the spillway. They’ll hold back all the water they can until the dam is in danger, and the send a massive flood downstream. Luis Leon should see a big rise.

I duno if Amistad will see any of it as the lake below that was dang near drained and caused all the up roar over in Mexico a year or so ago with the famers trying to take over the dam.

Box Canyon closed on April 12 the level was at 1065. At this time Amistad is at 1063.96. I don't think it will be long for Box to reopen.

It may not, but widespread 2.5-5” is expected over the conchos watershed in the next 5 days, so we’ll see! The good thing is Luis Leon looks like it’s less than 7,000 acres and it’s a highland lake, so it should fill up in a hurry. Medina Lake is probably a good comparison. Luis Leon just had a better watershed and less straws stuck in it than Medina.

I heard that the same dam in Mexico that broke in 2010 just broke again.

According to Monitor 5 Mantantiales supposed to go directly to Amistad Dam.

Just looking at a map it appears to be on the rio conches river which drains into the rio grand in Presidio.

Is that upstream of Amistad?
