Lightning struck us this afternoon, not us however it hit our house, we have a 40' TV tower that also supplies our computer power, of the TV's hit, 4 lost only power, the newest 50" is fried, luckily we had the tower guys here fast and restored our computer power, however looks like the antenna is fried , (NO TV), now to find a climber to replace a new antenna .

Glad y'all are safe though sir. And thankful your house didn't burn down.

We had a strike hit a very tall pine tree in our front yard several years ago. About 2:00 a.m. and it sounded like a bomb exploded. I came straight up out of a deep sleep. It did no damage to the house but the lightning transferred to a big mulberry tree because one limb was touching the pine. It then went down the trunk of the mulberry and went to ground destroying the valve for our sprinkler system ($700 repair job there.) The pine tree died slowly, and we had to have it taken down after about three years. Half of the mulberry died.
