Just installed the 60" ghost trolling motor on our pontoon. On the left side of the main cable there is a short 9 pin cable coming out of the foot pedal. Unfortunately for us it isn't long enough to reach my depth finder. So I am looking to get an extension so it will reach to the carbon unit. The cable coming out of the foot pedal as I indicated is 9 pin. I need at least a couple of meters to reach the back of the carbon unit.

What exactly would work in this situation so I can extend the cable and hook up the transducer from the trolling motor to the DF?

thanks for any and all replies...

Connect the Mini 9 Transducer Cable that came with the Ghost then to your transducer. Many People have missed that cable as it in a compartment in the box.

Understand what you are telling me but there was no 9 pin cable in my box.

Pg 24 of the Ghost Install Manual

A Display unit with regular 9-pin transducer connector (sold separately)
B Display unit with regular 7-pin transducer connector (sold separately)
C Foot pedal transducer cable, mini 9-pin male connector (included)
D Mini 9-pin to regular 9-pin adapter (included)
E 9-pin to 7-pin adapter cable (sold separately, 000-13977-001[color:#FF0000][/color]

If its not in the box and it is suppose to be then call customer service and ask them to send you one. Its about 4 ft long if I am remembering correctly. Connects from the Pedal to your Unit.

Sorry, I have been misleading you....

The shortest cable on the foot pedal is the transducer cable coming out of the pedal. Its on the left side of the MAIN cable to the trolling motor. Its only about 2 or 3 ft long. As it is now, it won't reach to my DF. Will call customer service and talk to them. Didn't receive any cable that would plug into the ducer cable on the foot pedal.

thanks for helping Larry...

Just got off the phone with Lowrance...wait time was almost null and void. Long story short, I should get a 4 ft cable next week to connect to the ducer cable on the trolling motor foot pedal. Ironic how a cable that is left out of the package could cause such a dilemma.

Just a follow-up to my visit with customer service at Lowrance...

The rep worked things out, gave him my serial number and he told me I should have it by the first of the week. This was yesterday afternoon...got home just now from mowing and guess what.....the pkg was on my front porch. Didn't expect that from Navico but thought it was noteworthy to pass along to the rest of the forum members how quickly they responded. Had to overnight it for it came from Tennessee and I am in se ks.
