Exactly........most of the salt is left in the pot,not in the spam. The water operator in me says you're right about the condensate............the purist of pure water. You can extract the same from the saltyist of ocean water but I'm sure you knew that

Try the Spam boil one time then tell me I'm wrong

Spam is emergency food. It should only be eaten in a bomb shelter.

My mom loves it. I'm not a fan. My granny used to LOVE potted meat and deviled ham. I guess when you're poor you get used to it, but that stuff is NASTY! Spam is better than those two things, but it's got so much sodium I feel my blood pressure rise and my heart starts beating about 280 bpm. I don't care to have a stroke. Y'all enjoy.

In a pinch it can made a good sandwich. Lightly toast (2)slices of bread with your favorite dressing on the bread. Stick about a 1/4 slab of "dog" in an iron skillet. Crispy golden brown, black on the edges. Topped of with some pieces of lettuce, hot pepper and 3 slices of home grown (reddy red) tomatoes and you got yourself a sandwich.

Bag of hot potato chips and a cod beer makes it meager meal.....

I love it. I like to fry it up nice and crispy for a quick lunch/snack. My wife will not eat it. Leaves more for me!

When I lived Hawaii, Spam musubi was a favorite snack to take to go fishing. It was available at all the convenience stores. Good stuff.

For some odd reason (joke I think) the wife unit got me about 10 cans of SPAM for Christmas last year. That would normally be about a 10 year supply for me. (She hates it, buy the way). But, the other day, I was hungry and it was getting late, and I couldn't find any leftovers in the fridge.

So I opened a can, sliced it and fried it like everyone else, then at the last minute I smothered it with a can of Ranch Style Beans with Jalapenos.

Turned out pretty good.

I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.

That’s the best flavor in my opinion, fried it’s pretty good!

I’d feed wieners to my raccoons before spam … out bolt
