Hello TFF. My son recently relocated to Houston. I am headed there in a few weeks and wanted to check out a few tackle shops that stocked BASS tackle. Any suggestions?

Other options beyond Houston Metro-Line Cutterz in West Columbia(not too far from Houston) has a good selection of bass gear. Top Tier Tackle- Lake Conroe

Not a lot of choices here.
Bass Pro or Academy. Fishing Tackle Unlimited is pretty weak on bass tackle. There are a couple of Field and Stream stores and Dicks too but they kind of suck. I've never been to any of the random small shops mentioned. I usually order online or just hit a local shop by whatever lake I am headed to.
Salt water tackle is most predominate around here.

The better bass tackle shops are in East Texas around Rayburn and TB.

Ya, Rambo Outdoors is about the closest that I know of. It's in Beaumont.

I’ve got all the basics + some here in Katy.
Bass Pro, two Academy’s, and where I can find a little higher end tackle is Feild and Stream.
As far as specialty bass shops then the mentioned Top Tier in Conroe or you need to go to Rambo in Beaumont or Orange but from Houston center Rambo is roughly and hour and a half to two hours.

Got to check out Rambo - very nice selection. Unfortunately, it appears Top Tier Tackle is shut/shutting down. There was a 30% off store wide sign on the door but they were closed the day I went by.

I haven’t been to the tackle hut in years-That place is cool. I make a visit to him about every 2 years to replace rod tips, eyes, and grips that "pile up".in the corner of the garage. He is a bit pricey, but does good work and he is usually done within 3-5 days. Not exactly the "neighborhood" you'd expect to find a tackle store, but convenient nonetheless.
Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.
