I am curious what aftermarket split rings you've tried. I replaced some with one brand I'll not name and they were junk.

I spend most of my time targeting larger fish with swimbaits and Owner Hyperwire split rings have never failed me.

I prefer Spro split rings...never had a failure on them so why switch?

I prefer the ones that are an oval, not a circle. That way you always get the line centered on the ring.

Just don't use what Santones use on their spinnerbaits. If you bounce them off anything, they will disappear. With that being said, I love Santone's spinnerbaits. Just have spare blades.
