She says open water. Not through lily pods or moss. Girls don't like getting that stuff on them and don't like insects.

So be it! Deep water.. Haulover Inlet, south side from bridge to end of jetty and back to bridge. Lots of snook and tarpon there, especially at night. I've only done it a couple of times in kayak... looking forward to trying it at night. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/08/full-76913-150192-006_3_zps9f7933ec.jpg) I'll be done that way in Oct.

Elizabeth's first kayak was a Perception Dancer, so good luck with that. We used to practice flipping and recovering in Lake Grapevine before heading to the rapids.

Elizabeth's first kayak was a Perception Dancer, so good luck with that. We used to practice flipping and recovering in Lake Grapevine before heading to the rapids. My first kayak was a Perception Illusion! It was actually designed for touring.. I cut out the hatches and dropped 3.5 gallon buckets in them for storage as I couldn't open the hatches in rough seas offshore without risking getting swamped. Loved that kayak, still have it. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/08/full-76913-150864-flamingo027.jpg)

Let's end this. 200 yards, Lake Bob Sandlin, Party Cove, you name the date, not during bad weather.
