There is a 5.56 pistol in the classifieds for $500. 5.56 in a .223 chamber is an over pressure concern. Do not do that.

Yeah, I should clarify. I wouldn’t shoot 5.56 in a .223 target rifle. But why would anyone do that? Buy a damn ar, it’s Americas Rifle after all. Do the research on 5.56 vs .223.. Don’t use it in target rifle but, I would if I needed to.

The .223 Wylde achieves better accuracy by having a chamber throat that is tighter than 5.56 but will still function reliably with military 5.56 ammunition as the case dimensions are the same.

I did not realize this about the .223 Wylde. Thank you for educating me.

Trigger sucks and less accurate than most cheap $499 AR's

I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in a firearm than in my Mini 14. Sold it almost immediately for the reasons tmd11111 mentioned

I have had both the mini 14 and the mini 30, key word being "had".

they run about 1,000.00 - 1,200.00 now too.
