Rarely hear anything about this little lake and tried searching with no luck. Anyone have any info on the lake? From what I recall there are a few underwater humps to keep note of running around? We will be building a house in Bridgeport soon and just looking for some additional small lakes to enjoy in the area.
Thanks Jeff

Lake Jacksboro is the old side and is the shallow, grassy lake. Pretty easy to run it. Most of the lake is safe to run. Just watch out for the occasional sea plane landing in the water. Just stay off the bank a bit. Ramp is tough to launch solo so give yourself a little time to do it. I usually launch then idle over to the little dock and drop my Power Poles and tie to dock. The problem is there are some sharp metal edges on the dock so I would not tie up against it. Leave yourself a little space. If no Power Poles bring a boat bumper just to be safe. No where to really beach on the bank with the way the ramp is designed. The ramp itself is good though.
Lost Creek is the new side. It has the better ramps. Can beach beside dock if you want. It is clear, deep and rocky with timber. It has a lot of hydrilla. DO NO T RUN IT ON PAD. It will not end well if you do. Both are loaded with fish. Probably too many fish. Lots of bites. 1 1/2-2lbers are plentiful on each side. Lake record on both lakes is only around 8lbs. 6lbs is about the biggest on either side that I have caught.
I have spent a lot of time on both sides. Fun little lakes. Fish usually bite decently on both sides.

For such a small lake; LC has a lot of just under the surface treachery. You can hit random timber in 30fow in several areas. There are also three big areas that rapidly go from 30fow to just under the surface rock. There’s also some old bridge pilings just under the surface at the west end.

Thanks for the info everyone! I knew Mr. Perry would chime in with some details too! Sounds like I need to make a trip when the weather cools off a bit.

LC has been tougher for me in the summer, good topwater for 30 mins then lots of fish suspending in trees that are 20 - 25 deep. Probably good for livescoping with good water clarity on LC, but haven't tried that there since I got one. Come mid-Sept, both lakes get back to normal has been my experience.

Not sure if they are still on YouTube but we did a couple of shows there with Bill on Honey Hole. He has dome a couple solo too. His map tips might help.
