I bet you held out as long as possible for a not guilty verdict. roflmao

Yep. I was on a jury that convicted a dad for raping his daughter for years. It scared me, but I was proud of the outcome.

Twice in 2 years first time about 15 years ago for district court and dismissed twice because of my relationship with a female PO. And twice for Federal Grand Jury in the last 5 years and dismissed both times (i assume) because of my answers to the technical answers to the questionnaire I returned to them. They don't want anyone with a modicum of intelligence on a federal Grand Jury.

Do you have to work at being an idiot, or does it just come naturally?

Eh. I’ll be there on time. If I get picked, I’ll do my best, if I’m not picked, I’ll be home to hook up the boat.

Last time I was summoned, it was city. They had 8 traffic cases and all 8 were juried. They had all of us, in groups, do a couple hearings each. That was a LONG night. Started at 6 pm. We had to sit through every one of them. I felt like I was being punished.

I didn’t lie, I answered the form honestly. Besides, I have to work to pay my bills, I don’t ride the government teet like most of your party does.

Never in my 42 years. I think most prosecutors wouldn’t pick me. The burden of proof is high and not met near enough. I think a lot of jury’s convict because the guy “probably” did it.

How often do y’all get the notices in the mail? My wife and kids have NEVER been summoned. I’ve been about a dozen times in 35 years. I must be on some kind of “list”.

Thank you for your service ! flag

You would be a good candidate to do Bible Study classes in a cho mo unit for a year, then get back to us on how many didn't meet the burden of proof.
