In the last 20 Minutes I have purchased that offer (even though I detest MS Office / Outlook) and do not even use Office. No problem with the purchase, the email with the license code and link to MS Website to download and Install, or inserting the Lic Key to activate. Test opened Office, Excel, Power point and Outlook and they all appear to work just fine. I only purchased it myself to verify that it was a legit offer, and so that I can have it in my tech toolbox to help when supporting others that do you the various components of MS Office.

How does the one download on one computer work if I upgrade my laptop in a year? Does this mean I can only have one active license?

How does the one download on one computer work if I upgrade my laptop in a year? Does this mean I can only have one active license? The wording in that ad about "ONE-TIME PURCHASE FOR 1 PC" is a bit confusing. I've never heard of an Office license that couldn't be moved to a new computer as long as the old one isn't still in use, but you might want to verify that with the vendor.

I would expect that as long as the previously licensed version was removed from the original computer it was installed on that you could then install it on a different computer.. However I too have had "Lowered Expectations" from time to time... Sorry do not have a clear cut answer on that one.

I just renewed mine I pay that much yearly for mine so, if I buy this will it override what I have already and not charge me every year/

AmpedUp: The instructions indicate that any previous version of Office should be uninstalled and then install the new version.
I would think you would have to go into your microsoft account settings to check you options on what to do about your subscribed version.
