Not that I lost them but my dumb a- - drove off and left them leaning against the side of my pickup . Needless to say when I went back a hour later they were gone .
At least a couple of Benjamin’s if I could get them back . One of them my son bought me 24 years ago .

Unfortunately, I don't think a thief will accept your offer. It's possible. Best you can hope for is that someone saw it happen.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

There is no way on God's green Earth that I would run off with someone's obviously "lost" rods. Remonds me of some other lowlifes. Some thieves broke into our work supply trailer years ago. The only thing they took was my plumbing tools. Low, man, low.

Be safe,

Shoot man, I'm sorry. That's a tough break for sure. I was there today and would have easily picked them up and instantly posted on here.

I did the same thing a few years back. Got off the water after dark and thought I had everything loaded up but 2 of my rods didnt make it home with me. I hope you have better luck than I did. With all the social media these days most lakes have facebook groups or something similar. It may be worth a shot to see if there is something like that for Ray Roberts. Maybe the person that found them would return them, but they dont know how to find you. Not all people are bad!

I did that and they were still there when I returned, the problem was it broke all 3 cuz the trailer ran over them. Loomis replaced them with the expiditer program at $100 a pop. Ruined one reel and the other 2 were fine.

about 40 years ago i left my grandfathers 1905 LC Smith double barrel shotgun leaning against a fence in the back of our property.
i didn't realize it until i had driven the 250 miles home.
i knew it would be there when i got back.
i had no choice but to turn around and go get it.

I had put a rod sock over 4 of my favorite baitcasters and rod combos and laid them in the boat. Same way I always put them however on the way back from Galveston I hit a cold front with 30mph winds and I believe they blew out. Other possibility is that someone grabbed them while I took a quick nap at Buccees.
Also had a nice combo fall off of boat one time cause my dumb a didnt put up correctly. Live and learn.

I hope someone sees your post and you get them back.

Long shot but call the park office and see if a ranger found them or someone turned them in to the state park.
