I've always said I was doing it all wrong when fishing tournaments. I just need sit in my boat in middle of the lake on the phone all day and weigh in big sacks!.. who knew.. impressive. If y’all really think something is happening why hasnt someone followed the guy? Have someone tail him for the next 3 tournaments and see what he weighs…. Just gossiping about it in the internet with no action doesn’t resolve anything…. You may find that your ruining a good fisherman’s reputation out of jealousy… or you may just bust a cheater. Either way until you have some kind of proof calling someone out and accusing them of being a habitual cheater on the internet behind a screen name is absolute chickensht. I’ll bet at the boat ramp none of y’all say a damn word to the guy face to face.

I love how some on here hide behind these names. I handed this trail off to Paul Stokes this year hoping it would continue as a great event for fishermen who enjoyed a trail with 100% payback, and a trail who follows our rules. Paul & I made the HARD RIGHT decision to DQ Craig. It would have been easy (and wrong) to take the complaint and brush it off, " saying there is only 2 buoys and one of them you cannot read, and the other is way off to the side, defended Craig so only a few would have heard about this. That would have been the EASY WRONG thing to do. After Paul and I went back out to the area and talked with local authorities, we made our decision. It's final, nothing you sad sore loses do or say on here is going to change our decision. 5bigfish, it was not video it was pictures. Do you want another can of gas to keep this thing going? Baby Donkey, if you are referring to me by saying "YOU" ban someone for a social media post you are incorrect, I have banned one person from the event, not that it's any of your business but that person was banned for personally attacking me. Saying he has success on a local lake, that is questionable, childish, and unprofessional. It's anglers like you and a few other on here that ruin good trails. I've never once defended his decision to go into that restricted area. I won't, he was wrong. But the guys watching him for almost 2 hours said he never fished. He did not gain an unfair advantage with fish in a basket, He didn't catch a fish in the restricted area, He did not go there to cheat. I hope one day you all grow up and maybe just maybe learn to fish. Buda13, for the past 18 years they have filmed him, followed him and watched him catch countless fish offshore and win tournament after tournament where most don't fish. Never once has anyone come up with any proof he's cheating. If anyone catches him cheating, I will hire an attorney to put him under the jail if possible. The only proof they come up with is he is catching fish and they cannot figure out how to do it. Junk bait it's not possible he caught those fish early, is it?

Well if he was DQ’ed then that alone will keep him from being able to fish the majority of the trails out there. Most have a rule about ever being DQ’ed in a tournament for whatever reason. That’s why when things come up people often withdraw so there wasn’t any recourse

Exactly! It’s even in the TBW rules. He was DQ’d correct?

SPORTSMANSHIP ……Any disqualification or suspension from, or other disciplinary action regarding any tournament or fishing organization, shall be grounds for rejecting any application for membership, participation and for disqualification.

Hackney and KVD have both been DQd from tournaments for a rules violation, and they were allowed to fish after that. I trust with Cliff says and have no issue with the guy fishing other tourneys.

Should maybe change his rules then? Maybe change the word SHALL to COULD. Or just get rid of the rule if it’s not concrete

"grounds for" means it is all the justification they need should they decide to reject.

It was my understanding that when he was confronted about being in a restricted zone he denied it. Then he was shown a pic proving he was there and then he admitted it. Is that not correct??

Since you all are reading rules finally, here's one you don't seem to understand or like:
1. RULES: Interpretation of these rules shall be left exclusively to the tournament director. In the event of a rule violation, protests for any rule infraction must be made in writing within 30 minutes of the official announcement, “the scales are now closed”. The decision of the tournament director shall be final in all matters.
