Does anyone else build their own floats?
Just an old country boy fishing , hunting , camping or just boating around exploring the backwaters most people do not venture & running around in our little bass boat teaching the next generation all I know about bass fishing and competing in the high school tournaments ( THSBA ) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1RhsBeR3BcSwLx72hqkQkw/featured

I have never thought about making my own floats, but I have thought about making some of those gains Lures I grew up using. Those like old bombers that are 3' long and have the simplest paint scheme on them, then those monster treble hooks...
I have gotten close to taking that on twice now and something came up and pulled me off that undertaking, thank goodness. I am my worse critic and quite ruthless about how things have to be. One of those giant bombers would take me months to do, and even that I am not even sure I would want anyone to see it... Every time I see one somewhere I look and think how cool is that and how I know I could make one. Then I work really hard at not starting that and just get in my boat and go and throw some of the old trusty artificials I have and forget that notion I have about making a 3' foot long bomber lol... Heck I make one next thing I would want to drag it in the lake to make sure it works like the original ones lol, that's how messed up I am lol Heck you would have to use the anchor line to pull it and tie it directly to the stern of the boat! Now see, I am already starting to plot this in my pea size brain lol... Dang
